The Easiest Homemade Gifts

This Christmas I made a lot of different sugar scrubs as gifts for my friends and family. It started with vanilla chai sugar scrub, which led to cinnamon coffee sugar scrub, and then chocolate mint, orange, and gingerbread scrubs! Scroll down the list to find your favorite recipes!

Originally, I was using recipes with specific ratios of oil and sugar in big mixing bowls. Honestly, I gave up that tactic and began making them each individually in their own jars. It went so much faster and they turned out much better! I highly recommend “just wingin’ it”. In such small quantities, you can tell how much of each ingredient to add.

Add enough oil so that there is a layer of oil on top, just like if you bought it in a shop! This will keep it from drying up, a mistake I made with the first sugar scrubs I tried – Vanilla Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub. I updated that post to reflect the changes

I know these recipes aren’t very precise, but I found that not being precise worked much better for me! Just add ingredients until it smells delicious and feels the right consistency. You should add a bit more oil than you think seems necessary.

I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I have! I especially love the chocolate mint one. It smells delicious and tastes delicious, too!
